Overview
2 days desert tour from Marrakech to Zagora via Mountains, Kasbahs, Oasis including camel trek for sunset, sunrise and night in the desert.
Program:
Day 1: Marrakech – Atlas Mountains – Draa Valley – Zagora (Camel Trek & Night In desert)
We start the 2-day trip from Marrakech to Zagora early in the morning.
On the 1st day, we will pick-up you from the riad, hotel or any point of your choice. We request you actually be ready before 7.00 a.m.
Start from Marrakech and cross the High Atlas mountains and Tizi n’Tichka pass, we will have time to pause and enjoy impressive panoramas and Berber villages, and we will take the chance to visit the universal Heritage Site of Ait Benhaddou Kasbah as it has been identified by UNESCO in 1987. After lunch you will be driven to the south and cross the second pass which is Tizi N’Tnifift at 1710m and Ait Saoun village, the previous route of caravans for Sahara merchants arriving from “Tombouktou”, you will reach the administrative center named “Agdez Village” that traces the source of Draa Valley with it’s 6 serial palm groves stating (Mezguita palmary, Fezouata…) and Kasbahs…
Once we get to Zagora we will go to ride the camels who are waiting to pick us on a magnificent adventure in the Sahara, when we reach the camp, and have dinner, then you will be invited to a festive drums music in the middle of the Sahara and we will pass the night in nomad tents.
Day 2: Zagora – Ouarzazate – Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou – Atlas Mountains – Marrakech
We will wake up early morning in the 2nd day of our journey to watch the sunrise in a desert, next after having breakfast and shower, we travel back by camels, then driving back to Marrakech, of course, we will have many stops to enjoy the gorgeous views and get some tea. We return to Marrakech around 6.00 or 7.00 p.m where you can expect to return.
